Die Golden Voices of Gospel laden auf ihre ganz persönliche und unnachahmliche Art zu einer Reise ein, die durch ein Jahrhundert der Spirituals, Traditionals und Gospels führt. Diese Musik drückt wie keine andere das Lebensgefühl, den Stolz und die Hingabe des weitaus größten Teils der schwarzen Bevölkerung der USA aus. Das umfangreiche musikalische Repertoire, dieser charismatischen Stimmen lässt uns erahnen, dass die Wurzeln fast aller bedeutenden „modernen“ Musikrichtungen des letzten Jahrhunderts (Blues, Jazz, Rock, Beat, etc) zur Gospel-Musik reichen. Sowohl moderne Gospelstücke als auch Lieder wie „Oh When The Saints“, „Glory Glory Halleluja“, „Swing Low Sweet Chariot “, „Motherless Child“, „Joshua fit the Battle of Jericho “, „O Happy Day“ laden das Publikum zum Zuhören und Mitmachen ein.

Seit Jahrzehnten auch hierzulande eine stimmgewaltige Institution, konnten The Golden Voices of Gospel schon Michael Jackson bei „Wetten, dass…?“ unterstützen, waren mit Helene Fischer im Studio und mit André Rieu auf Weihnachtstournee – dazu kennt man sie aus Dutzenden

Besonderes zum Fest: Schlager meets Gospel auf „Hallelujah“.

Es ist die Vermählung zweier Genres, eine feierliche Zusammenkunft von Ausnahmestimmen und
Traditionen – dabei zeichnet diese stilistische Offenheit die Gospelmusik genau genommen schon
immer aus: Jazz, Blues und andere moderne Musikstile finden seit Jahrzehnten ihren Weg in die
Gesänge der großen Gospelchöre, und so ist es ein konsequenter Schritt, das Klangspektrum
erstmals um deutschsprachigen Schlager und weihnachtliche Klassiker zu erweitern. Wie
bewegend und berührend diese Kombination klingt, beweist das neue Album „Hallelujah“.
